Massimo Castagna reimagines and advances the basic model of a contemporary kitchen in this original and innovative design that moves beyond the concept of a kitchen defined by its door panels. Instead, large-capacity base units on low plinths and a wide range of special components to be combined with the layout of the former give rise to new meanings and functions, as well as a high degree of personalisation. A dynamic, ever-changing design which evolves and is enriched, piece by piece, with new elements, values, materials and meanings.
The kitchen is enhanced by special components, each to be used as a design “piece”, and each with a strong and distinct character distinguished by a different use of materials; from metal to wood, special high- resistance lacquers, and stone. Complete rationality and the emphasis on ergonomics, functionality and the qualities of the materials combine with the desire to explore and understand transforming lifestyles, providing a response to the new priorities and needs of a sophisticated and demanding clientele.
