A new model of home living that adapts to the lifestyle of the modern family and also transforms the appearance of the most beautiful house in the world, on Turin's Via Alfieri. The Number 6, the famous Baroque palace that already in 2015, after the Building Group's intervention, was awarded by ArchDaily as Building of the Year, presents the restyling of its penthouse, completely renewed in shape and space development.
After about 10 years since the last intervention, the apartment on the highest floor of the prestigious Palazzo Valperga Galleani has undergone a new design and layout that aims to enhance the common spaces and domestic sociability, with an unprecedented combination of the rooms that change in their function. In fact, after the pandemic, there has been a growing need for families to have even more space for seclusion and privacy, where they can comfortably and productively carry out the increasingly recurring activities of home working, training and studying.
The renovation project, by Boffa Petrone & Partners, kept the volume of the interiors and terraces unaltered, rethinking some areas in a more functional way and adapted to changing living needs. The modernization work involved BI.CI., which, for months, oversaw the planning and interior design, fully expressing and tailoring the concept of the contemporary home, enhancing each room. Giorgia Mirabella for art direction and the search for the finest pieces and Galleria Mazzoleni for the supply of the artworks that enrich the spaces.
The home is now developed around a very large living area, with spaces dedicated to relaxation and the kitchen area, adjacent to three bedrooms and five panoramic terraces equipped with hanging gardens. The furnishings have been completely replaced with new design elements that add a touch of elegance and modernity to the entire apartment. In particular, the rooms were designed to be as bright and airy as possible, with the use of natural tones and materials that help create a cozy and refined atmosphere.
