Contemporary Thought

A scenery dressed in elegance. A contemporary jewel of chromatic harmony, functionality and style. And, at the base, the desire for a space that fully represents those who live it and evokes their personality, between compositional balances and choices marked by comfort that is always classy.

Clients have long desired environments that can truly reflect their spirit and lifestyle and in which they can then pleasantly and peacefully retreat. Once they identified the perfect location in a residential area on the outskirts of Milan, they thus created a 400-square-meter villa with large designer exteriors. The exclusive project, signed BI.CI. with the creative direction of Bruno Cardin, includes a large entrance area connected to the full-height living area, enriched by a spacious loft overlooking, kitchen and sleeping area. An overview that, already at the entrance, underscores a mood marked by beauty and coziness accentuated by the generous amplitude of the volumes and the careful decorative choices. Resin flooring was selected for the interiors throughout, complemented by more than 90 sq. m. of large-format, low-thickness ceramic surfaces and entirely custom-made paneling in natural oak. Curtains in precious cashmere fabric definitely play their part, contributing to accentuate the materiality and richness of the materials in the rooms.

A dominant element of great scenic impact is undoubtedly the majestic staircase, also designed by BI.CI., "forged" in bronze also clad in natural oak, with cantilevered steps. Clearly a "plus" in the compositional study of the living room, which, against a background of amiable composure, develops bold lines and captivating contemporary geometries. Designed to overlook the living area, the staircase in fact enhances the domestic setting with sophisticated details and customized proportions. The careful study of light is also the work of BI.CI., which created an interplay of architectural details, false ceilings and grooves, creating elegant solutions that accentuate the unique character of individual rooms. Natural light floods the spaces thanks to the large perimeter windows, in a constant dialogue with the rich outdoor area, seamlessly. In fact, the design study continues outside with the same language. The clients' goal was to create a continuum in daily living, inside and outside the home. BI.CI. made their wish its own by building authentic living in the outdoor area embellished with a generous table, supported by outdoor rugs in keeping with the dominant colors, for poolside dining, and the entire sunbathing area in front of the water overflow to the garden. Landscape lighting on the greenery and terracotta pots, handmade especially for the project, provides a magnificent backdrop for this metropolitan daydream. Passion and experience for renewed contemporary eurhythmias in an open space devoted to well-being and harmony with nature.
